Brief Journey

On dated 20th May 2022, I requested my father to take me to the Mount Everest base camp, after watching the movie “EVEREST”. I really enjoyed this documentary“EVEREST” and very excited to scale this achievement at this young age and promote awareness about the fitness and healthy living in nowadays generation. On my first request, everyone shocked and neglected, but at same time, when I awake next morning, my father asked, SAANVI ARE YOU SERIOUS, I replied softly YES PAPA.

On 24th of May, We got the tickets booked, and I started my training for Everest base camp. I had only 5 days to ready myself for this difficult task. After 5-6 days of workout, we started our journey on 1st of June from Ropar, Punjab. We left for Delhi-kathmandu.

On day 1:- we left for lukla from the Kathmandu; Lukla is the place, from where our trekking gets started. It’s around 65kms of trekking in one way and total around 120kms both ways.

On day 2:- We covered approx 8 kms and reached phakding (elevation 2600mtrs).

On day 3:- Early morning 6.00am, we left for naamche bazaar @ altitude of 3400mtr. The day was very hectic as there were very steep slopes and we also moving towards high altitude. After 13kms trekking, we reached our Guest house around 3pm. (elevation
3400mtrs).

On day 4:- Acclimatization day, we warm up our body, we went to the nearby hill and covered around 6 kms and went back to the guest house in naamchee bazaar.

On day 5:- We left early morning for Debouche, and covered around 14kms. (Elevation 3800mtrs).

On day 6:- we left for dingbouche, covered around 10 kms. (Elevation 4400mtrs).

On day7:- :- Acclimatization day, we warm up our body, we went to the nearby hill and covered around 7 kms and went back to the guest house in Dingbouche

On day 8:- We left for labouche @ altitude of 4900 mtrs, and covered 7 kms. After dinner in the evening, I have some health issues, passed 2 vomits, my oxygen level was dropped to 55, My father gave me medicines and motivate me, he told me, that we will take one day extra rest in labouche and then will start our further journey or will descend. But Next morning, I wake up at 4, and requested my dad, we have to move today only with the group and host Indian flag as scheduled as per our iteniary. 

On day 9:- We left for Gorakshep, take breakfast and then move for EBC (5364MTRS) in the afternoon. I reached EBC at 1.15 pm IST and hosted Indian flag there. The moment, I hosted Indian flag was the memorable day of my life. Covered around 13kms in that day. 🙂
