Saanvi Sood

Saanvi Sood, India

Saanvi Sood belongs to Ropar, a small city in Punjab, has created history and made the country
proud by reaching the base camp of Mount Everest. She is studying in the 2nd standard in
Yadavindra Public School, Mohali. For the young climber, this is a trailblazer to the higher peaks.
She says, “It was tough but I was determined to reach the summit. Someday, I will scale Everest”.
Saanvi Sood conquered the summit along with her father Deepak Sood, who is a civil contractor
and has projects in Himachal Pradesh. Her father said, “She got the inspiration after watching
the film ‘Everest’. As I have a business in Himachal Pradesh, she was fascinated by the mountains
and hills. She has been accompanying me to smaller mountain peaks but after watching the film,
she was so inspired that she asked me if we could go to Everest. She navigated her way through
rough and cold terrains”.

Youngest Girl on Everest Base Camp

Saanvi Sood is the youngest girl of age 7 who has created history by reaching the base camp of
Mount Everest. When she was 4 years old, she asked her mother how anyone could meet the
Prime Minister of India. Her mother replied in a very humble way that someone has to achieve
something extraordinary.
At a very young age, she had to stay away from her mother for a long time. She had followed a
similar meal plan for 10 days of trekking, which is very hard for any child in this modernised
era.

Before starting the journey

It can be extremely helpful to keep an appreciation journal, where you write down your dreams
and goals in the present tense. Saanvi Sood prepared herself to climb the sky. She did
Meditation, Yoga, and Exercise to control her breath along with her father. She made her
physically fit and mentally stable because both are necessary.
They planned days with pace in mind and don’t be too ambitious – a pitch or steep climb that
looks easy on paper is tougher at the end of a tiring day with a big pack, especially at altitude.

During Saanvi’s Expeditions (Saanvi Sood On Everest Base Camp)

The struggle in life is the total of our achievements, success, failures, and mistakes. Saanvi Sood
climbed the heights with dedication and determination. During her journey, she felt a bit
nervous about whether she could achieve that goal or not because her oxygen level was reduced.

But her father encouraged her and she did this. She faced so many obstacles in her journey but
she navigated her path and achieved her goal.
After reaching the Base Camp point, she was interested in climbing higher but she was not
allowed to do so because of her young age. She was the most encouraging climber and took care
of herself and her father too during her climbing.

Saanvi Sood’s Achievement

Achievements are the desires that we love to have. They are the goals we struggle to achieve.
Saanvi Sood, a Seven-year-old girl from Ropar has created history by reaching the base camp of
Mount Everest. Saanvi Sood, a resident of Ropar, is the first youngest girl in India to wave the
Indian flag at the base camp of Mount Everest. Saanvi made this a new record in just 9 days by
crossing the track during stormy and blustery conditions in low oxygen, through many hurdles
in the path.
Saanvi Sood achieved this feat on June 9 by scaling the summit with her father Deepak Sood. She
has brought laurels to the country and the state by setting a height of 5364 meters. At the same
time, the name of his parents Deepak Sood has also been brightened at a young age. Everyone is
praising this spirit of Saanvi Sood with great enthusiasm. She had initially expressed her desire
to climb Everest. However, since she is only seven, she was not allowed to go beyond the base
camp. She already reached a height of 5,364 meters.

Saanvi Sood’s Future Plan and After Achievement Life

Saanvi Sood wants to break all records globally as the youngest mountaineer on the planet
because this becomes her passion and her goal too to make her family and her country proud.
So, today after scaling Everest Base Camp, she wants to meet our Honourable & Most Respected
Prime Minister of India.
She got her name and fame with this procurement. The entire world knows her name and she
has started getting offers for big trekking events for which she is travelling to Africa with her
father Deepak Sood to represent Asia as one of the youngest mountaineers.
